Guidance for Hosts on whether tax is due on their Stashbee earnings

Updated over 2 months ago

Any earnings you make from renting out your space will be classified as "property income" for tax purposes.

According to current regulations, the first £1,000 in trading income that you make in a year is tax-free and doesn't need to be declared to HMRC.

You will have to pay income tax on any earnings above £1,000 per year. You can find current government policy and instructions on how to pay any tax due here.
